Ideally Notre Dame would join in football.

But if Notre Dame stays with the partial schedule indefinitely and the ACC needs a number 16, BYU is probably one of the best football brands out there not in a Power 5 conference. And having 4 ACC schools travel to Utah each year for football would not be a problem at all. UVA has already been doing it.

I don't want the rest of BYU's sports programs. They are safely in the conference with Gonzaga. I'm just talking about the football team. And in keeping with what you like to see, BYU brings a lot of fans to road football games. BYU also has its own ESPN contract. When the ACC has a cable channel, Utah and Hawaii would become local markets for the ACC. Combined with Connecticut, that's 8 million population.

I don't think that the ACC is thinking this way, but that's what I'd do.
